A little about me

I specialize in crafting thrillers that keep audiences on the edge of their seats, immersing them in suspenseful, mysterious, and thought-provoking worlds. Writing is my sanctuary, where I transform into the villain, the hero, or the outsider, creating stories rich with adventure, tension, and depth. As a native Norwegian, I draw inspiration from my cultural heritage, weaving elements of Nordic mythology into my work to craft tales that connect universally.

My passion for storytelling began with photography, where I first learned to capture emotions and narratives through the lens. Although I still cherish photography, my true calling is screenwriting. After receiving the advice to “write every day” from a Hollywood producer, I committed to making writing an integral part of my life. Now, whether it’s penning a single scene or hours of creativity, writing is essential to who I am—a lesson I share with aspiring storytellers.

As the founder of Hanè Saga, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting and promoting storytellers, I strive to elevate creative voices and their stories.

Residing in California with my children, I continue to blend Nordic noir, science fiction, and cultural elements to build immersive narratives.

The Vegvísir, an ancient Icelandic symbol said to guide and keep one on the right path, reflects my journey and mission as a storyteller: to inspire, connect, and remind us of the power stories hold to shape and define who we are.
